Karan's Friends Rally Around Him

Karan Johar ushered in his 36th birthday yesterday, surrounded by all his friends from the industry. The party was hosted by his close friends Gauri Khan and Kajal Anand.The guestlist consisted of the who's who of Bollywood, most of who are Karan's good friends as well. The guest list was headed b by Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Manish Malhotra, Arjun Rampal, Shilpa Shetty, Priyanka Chopra, along with Harman Baweja and Ritesh Deshmukh, among others. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai also made an appearance. They came straight from Ashutosh Gowariker's party, to celebrate the 100 days of Jodhaa Akbar. But missing in action were the Senior Bachchans, Amitabh and Jaya, who were also present at Gowariker's party. Maybe they weren't very comfortable with the hosts. But to come back to Karan, the year ahead will see two films coming out his banner, one is Dostana while the other is My Name Is Khan, directed by Karan himself.
